Are you currently overwhelmed with your circumstances? A wise man once said that he did not know how heavy his load was until he laid it down. Jesus invites us to lay down our load at his footstool. In the midst of our circumstances, we have to remember that we are not alone. Jesus said that He would never leave us nor forsake us. I take great comfort in knowing that God is in control, has a plan, and is for me, not against me. So, be strong and take courage. Trust the Truth; the only truth that sets men free. He is Jesus! He is faithful and true!

Dale Schlafer and Rod Handley will be the keynote speakers at the Iron Sharpens Iron Conference in Ocala on October 23rd. In Ocala, there will also be 18 seminars for men from which they can choose to attend; some specifically designed for youth.

During 2010 FMI is offering FREE registration for young men, ages 13-19 to the Florida Iron Sharpens Iron Conferences when they come to the conferences with their biological or spiritual dads. Iron Sharpens Iron Conferences are for men of all ages. There are many seminars specifically designed for young men at each of the Iron Sharpens Iron Conferences. FMI supports local churches in Florida in developing and sustaining ministries specifically designed to address the unique challenges that men face in their lives today so that men can live powerful, transformed lives through the power of God's Word and Holy Spirit.

Inside God's purpose, you're born to lead in some capacity. As a result of this belief, we are invoking God's holy presence to come and ignite this generation with a holy fire that they may rise as bold warriors of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Under this mandate, the BLAAZE seeks to compel young people to encounter their destiny as Born Leaders Anointed As Zion's Elect! BLAAZE is the youth ministry at New Life Christian Center in Gainesville, Florida under Pastor Reginald and Evangelist Rebecca Lewis. For the past three years Youth Pastor Kevin and Khadija Camps have led BLAAZE.

Our mission is to develop children, youth and young adults into future leaders with character and proper motives that will bring godly change in our society. Our primary goal is to cause youth to own the ministry of Jesus Christ, occupy their place in the body of Christ, and obey the call of the Spirit at all cost. Secondly, we desire to establish a spiritual outpost within the communities represented by youth within the BLAAZE congregation through constant evangelistic outreach efforts. We understand that a godly home atmosphere is vital to the success of youth and young adults. Our third objective is household salvation within the families of BLAAZE youth. Lastly, connection between believers is important. We aspire to strengthen and solidify the cords of relationship and accountability between like-minded believers of the local Body of Christ.

Because we are training a company of leaders, our leadership team within BLAAZE has to be phenomenal. With 16 leaders on the team we are able to minister to children, youth and young adults, 2-25 years of age. Jesus showed us through his interactions with the disciples that great leadership could cause unused potential to become functioning potential. This standard is how we look at leadership, and look to impact youth in this manner.

We also host and travel to do Connection weekends that give us opportunity to train leaders across the region and release the purpose of God within their lives and the youth they serve. We realize that ministry towards this generation is changing but enlightening truth in them has to remain priority; this is our primary purpose during a Connection weekend. Three years ago, the Goshen Refuge Academy was established. Goshen Refuge houses young adult men to develop them spiritually, financially and professionally. The success of the program has been tremendous and in the future we look to open a Goshen Refuge for young women as well.

Are you a warrior or a spectator? Good question. Our nation has faced many trials in its 234-year history following the declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776. One of the greatest, up until now, was the election of 1860. The election of Abraham Lincoln sparked a fire that tore our country apart, dividing families, states, and our people. Southerners took the election of Illinois Congressman as a signal that they could no longer ignore. It was time for action to defend themselves and their rights. Their rights guaranteed by the very Constitutional government they wished to leave.
